About Media Heroes

Media Heroes was launched in 2010 by founder Alistair Roberts, as a way to help Australian businesses grow with digital marketing. They aimed to provide and execute proven digital marketing strategies for their clients, which were based on their unique goals. They also wanted to become trusted, knowledgeable marketing partners who were able provide the advice that people needed to grow their businesses.

Since then, Media Heroes has been consistently overachieving and raising the bar for the Australian industry. Alistair Roberts has become head hero of a potent team of digital experts with knowledge of every key field: design, development, SEO, content, advertising, and branding.

With his heroes assembled, Alistair achieved phenomenal growth for his flourishing list of clients by following one simple rule: figure out what works, and then invest in it. From this simple principle comes a meticulous goal-driven inbound marketing strategy that is executed, monitored, and refined by the Media Heroes team.

The Media Heroes team is small but mighty. Every member is an expert in their field, and together, they make a formidable digital marketing force that produces exceptional results for our clients.

We have a team of 15 industry professionals includining four team leaders who have been working at Media Heroes for many years, plus technical roles such as content marketing, social media management, advertising, web development, hosting, and a variety of other specialist fields. This gives us the technical strength and diversity to execute winning marketing campaigns that will grow your business.

Digital Marketing Strategy Hero

Alistair Roberts

Alistair is the founder of Media Heroes. He started the company back in 2010 with a mission to help Australian businesses grow through digital marketing. By developing and executing proven growth strategies for his clients, Alistair has turned Media Heroes into one of the highest performing digital marketing companies in Queensland, with clients across Australia.

Alistair is an accomplished digital marketing strategist with over 20 years of experience across multiple industries. He combines business acumen, analytical problem solving and creative thinking, together with his passion for marketing to deliver exceptional results for clients. He has helped hundreds of organisations accelerate their growth and profits with the implementation of highly effective inbound marketing strategies.

He has proven success in a wide variety of sectors from retail to finance and not-for-profits and has an extensive depth of knowledge, which allows him to tackle almost any marketing challenge. His experience ranges from small businesses and start-ups through to the delivery of enterprise-level digital strategies for industry associations and ASX listed companies.

Alistair was born in Brisbane, but lived in the US and UK in his adult years, where he achieved a first class honours in International Management and Marketing, as well as gaining direct experience working in these markets. Before founding Media Heroes, Alistair spend several years working as a Management Consulant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, which enables him to bring a high degree of strategic thinking and problem-solving to the field of digital marketing.

When Alistair isn’t working, he’s playing and coaching beach volleyball with his daughter Coco who competes on the Australian Beach Volleyball Tour and is aiming to represent Australia on the World Tour.

SEO & Campaign Manager Hero

Udai Singh

Udai is Media Heroes’ longest standing employee, joining the company in 2015 as an SEO technical expert. He helps to lift the Google rankings of Media Heroes’ clients using time-tested SEO methods like keyword optimisation, code audits, and quality link building.

Udai grew up in Chandigarh, a city in the far north of India. He studied a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, and then moved almost 2,000 kms south to the city of Hyderabad, where he spent two years working for the Marriott Hotels group. After that, he had a short stint as a recruiter for IBM in Bengaluru, before being presented with the opportunity to round out his studies at QUT in Australia, where he completed his International Business masters degree.

He fell in love with the country, and joined Media Heroes shortly after graduating, quickly proved himself a hard-working and skilled member of the team who could achieve excellent results for the company’s clients.

Udai has gone from strength to strength since then, developing skills in digital advertising, content marketing, and branding. He’s the OG member of the Media Heroes team.

In his spare time, Udai likes to watch pretty much any sport he can get his hands on. He loves golf, NFL, basketball, boxing, and UFC to name a few, and is also a keen tennis player and golfer, regularly finishing in the top three for local tournaments.

Rob Marchant

Rob was born in England, where he studied Web Technologies at the University of Greenwich in London. He moved to Australia in 2012, and quickly put his skills to work for burgeoning e-commerce software Neto. As one of the earliest staff members, he helped to grow Neto into a platform that generated over $4 billion in annual transactions for its customers, evolving from a web designer to a key member of the UX team, where he designed the software’s features.

In 2018, after years of deliberation, Rob decided to take a leap of faith and switch careers. He’d always been confident in his writing ability, and he wanted to see how far he could develop his skill by immersing himself in it. He left Neto for aXcelerate—a learning management platform that helped training organisations run their businesses. His focus was growing their company blog with relevant and valuable content, and after six months, the blog’s readership went from roughly 200 to 2,000 people a month, an increase of 1000%.

Despite his success, Rob was keen to work on different topics, so with the prospect of learning and writing about digital marketing, he joined Media Heroes in 2019 as a content marketer. His content strategies and writing abilities have helped to achieve excellent results for Media Heroes’ clients, with each one seeing substantial increases in website visitors, helping their Google rankings to soar. He’s also the editor and creator of Powered Up magazine—Media Heroes’ monthly newsletter that teaches you how to grow your business with inbound marketing.

When he’s not writing, Rob is usually walking his schnauzer Peggy, reading books, or watching boxing matches.

Design & Development Hero

Stefan Mouttet

Continuing Media Heroes’ multicultural trend, Stefan was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean, which gives him by far the coolest accent of the team. He moved to Canada in 2009 to study graphic design, and after graduating, returned to Trinidad and Tobago for his first design job at Alston’s Marketing Company, designing marketing collateral for the firm. In 2016 he had the opportunity to work in Australia, after being offered a Senior Graphic Design role for Alcolizer Technology, who produce world-class alcohol and drug testing kits.

Stefan honed his skills over the next few years, working for a few different companies at the same time, and getting as much experience as he could. By 2020 he was ready for a new challenge, and after wowing Alistair with his design portfolio, he joined Media Heroes in October of that year.

Since joining the company, Stefan has designed and helped to develop numerous websites for their clients, producing gorgeous, highly-usable designs that help them to gain more customers. He also manages every design project from start to finish, to ensure that every stage is completed to the best possible standard, resulting in robust, high-ranking websites.

In his spare time, Stefan plays hockey for Australia, walloping pucks into nets up and down the country.
